Reimport data on a new iOS device

If you are changing your iOS device, I kindly recommend that you first enable Apple Health to access Stepz data on your previous phone in order for it to store the existing progress. You can do so by following these simple steps:

  1. Open Apple Health app and tap Browse on the menu at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap Activity, then Steps.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the new page that shows up and tap Data Sources & Access.
  4. Tap the toggle next to Stepz: it becomes green and successfully connects Stepz to Apple Health app.

Once you’ve followed the instructions above and Apple Health on your older phone is connected to the data that was stored in your app, you are welcome to link Apple Health on your new phone to the Stepz app you’ve redownloaded. As soon as you’ve done it, please use the Reimport Historical Data feature available in the Settings of the app you installed on your new phone.

This procedure is necessary for your older data to be visible on your new device, however it cannot be completed if you have already uninstalled Stepz on your previous phone, as this would automatically cancel any pre-existing information.
